Business Analyst/Enterprise Architect Consultant

The Aqaba Community and Economic Development (ACED) Program is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded program, benefiting the people and businesses of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. The ACED Program seeks to recruit a Jordanian short-term Business Analyst/Enterprise Architect. The assignment will be in Aqaba for a maximum of 120 work days over a period of six months.
Main responsibilities:
·Gain detailed knowledge in ASEZA’s current business environment by researching ASEZA’s business functions, data sources, existing IT systems, corporate strategy, e-Strategy, and documented business processes.
·Conduct interview sessions with business owners to solicit business requirements.
·Develop detailed business requirement specifications for automating business functions, identifying gaps in existing systems, specifying e-Service requirements, and detailing integration requirements with existing systems.
·Utilize standard modeling techniques to model business requirements including business process modeling, use case modeling, and other artifacts to capture, communicate and document requirements.
·Analyze business requirements gathered and develop a detailed functional design for an IT solution that will achieve and integrated IT applications environment capable of automating entire ASEZA business cycle, putting in place a standard integration framework, and laying a foundation for an expandable e-Service platform.
·Provide recommendation on best techniques, practices, technologies, etc.
Education:
·Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other related fields as a minimum, a Masters degree is a plus.
·Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of business Analysis or Enterprise Architecture.
·Experienced in developing software requirements specifications for highly complicated business environments.
·Experienced in developing functional design for sophisticated web enabled business applications and e-Service type applications.
·In depth knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture.
·Highly experienced in modeling techniques to capture and model business dynamic and static views
·Excellent communications, interviewing skills and able to solicit information from business owners.
·Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high level information into details, and distinguish presented user requests from the underling true requirements.
